I was lucky enough to start high school at the same time that first Harry Potter book was published. Empathising with those first day nerves, I could not put these books down, with the growing worry of this magical world ending too quickly! Thankfully Warner Bro’s have put my worries at ease and we were able to relive those magical moments at their HP studios in London!
It’s a great day out, perfect for a rainy day (which it was for us) and despite spending only 3 hours there, we could have stayed much much longer. There is so much to see, as you walk through the sets, it’s incredible the amount of thought and detail that has gone into every single piece you see on the screen. There are also quite a few interactive areas to take photos and enjoy the experience.
Some of my favourite moments included sipping on Butterbeer, and walking through Diagon Alley (wishing it was real).
The gift shop is almost as big as the studios itself, with almost everything you can think of Harry Potter related. Other than the towering boxes of chocolate frogs and Bertie’s every flavoured beans, of course magpie me checked out the accessories and my favourite was the Deathly Hallows collection:
An couple of ionic moments I had to share:
Secretly wishing the trolley would go through (we’ve all given it a secret shove)!
Riding the Hogwarts express in our third year!
I don’t want to give too much away as that would be unfair to those who have yet to enjoy this experience. All I can say is ‘Alohamora’ the door is unlocked!
