Instagram: How to take blogging photos during your daily life

Like most of you out there, I spend ages scrolling through instagram and stare in awe at the beautifully shot fashion and lifestyle photos of most of the top end, popular career bloggers. But for those of us who are not yet career bloggers,  it can be a struggle to find the time to take great pictures, so here are a few tips to ensure you always have material to keep you instafeed going: Things you need: Have a good phone with alot of memory. Download a good and easy phone friendly photo editing software. An instagram/social media platform. Things to snap: Document your daily items – if you’ve put on…

    Lookbook: Dec 17, Yellow Snow?

Everyone has a ‘Black Friday Buy’ and this year mine was this gorgeous mustard coat from Zara! Nipping it for their discounted £49.99, it came just in time for our Sunday Snow Day in London! One thing I absolutely love is when style and utility run hand in hand, and that’s exactly what this jacket does. It’s feather down filling keeps you toasty and warm, while it’s removable fur lined hood and exterior nylon provides a very good rainproof layer. With extendable zips and fur lined in all the right places, the thin brown piping lining each block of mustard gives this coat a very stylish look for the season. I…

    Sleek: Highlighter; Cleopatra’s Kiss

I haven’t been this excited about highlighter’s since I was in high school, and having started off with a basic MUA highlighting shade to try out, was suddnely thrown into the luminous world of highlighting palettes and shades! Being a novice, I decided to start off with the highly reviewed high street sleek highlighting pallete – Cleopatra’s kiss. I’m in love! I love love love the packaging; it’s sleek (excuse the pun) luxurious gold literally makes it gleam from my dressing table. Inside you have two creamy colours and two powdery textures. I find the creamy textures easier to apply the highlighter onto specific areas and draw clearer lines for…

    Gosh Lipstick – AW17

So to add to my AW17 lip colour collection, I happily discovered GOSH cosmetics and their new matte lipstick shades! My colour chosen colour is Raisin, this gorgeous matte brown, perfect for an everyday AW17 look! I love it’s sleek black discreet packaging, with GOSH embossed on the side of case and on the lipstick. On my brown skin tone, it swatches as a slightly reddish brown and under the light, with a little shimmer. It’s creamy texture is great for building up the brown colour, and it has great staying power, with only a small touch up after meals! For only £7.99 at Superdrug, I definitely recommend this as…

Wednesday’s are for window shopping, and I’m so glad I stumbled across this sparkling collection by Carat* ! Inspired by the Queen of Dragons, there’s a delicate strength incorporated into each piece of this collection; a strong structure with a cascade of delicate ‘raindrops.’ It’s undoubtedly an elegant collection to curate for an exquisite evening look!

    Double Cleansing with Super Facialist

OK, I admit there are some days that I can’t be bothered to wash my make up off with a bar of soap let alone a facial wash and micellar water, and then I do face the effects of panda eyes and a sticky face the next morning…eww! I heard about double cleansing through a friend of mine, and initially thought ‘ do I really need to start ..?’ But having been strict on myself the  past few weeks and ensuring that at what ever time I’m home, however lazy I’m feeling, I will wash my make up off (some times even using the cleanser twice), I have felt my skin feeling clearer…

    Gold Initial Pendants

This month, I’ve been cheekily popping into Accessorise and ploughed through the dregs of their summer sale to find these beautiful gold letter pendants on my favourite style, barely- there, gold chain. At a fist bumping fiver, I snapped it up as the third treat to myself for the week! ‘R’ & ‘U’ to represent my first name and my new surname! The also have a stunning range of letters in Arabic, and with the help of young lady I was able to pick out an ‘R’ <3 Gold plated, they are definitely durable for daily use and I’ve been mixing and matching them for an understated cute summer look!

    Fish Pendants

I received these two very unique gorgeous (and perfect to fidget with) fish pendants a few years back. First came the blue fish, and I wasn’t quite sure what to do with it at first, but once I received the yellow fish – necklace screamed out to me. I chose a simple elastic thin thread for these two, imitating a fishing line and allowing the colours to be centre piece. They are one of my favourite pieces, unique and ethnic looking. but the gold enamel and ceramic like finish take them from boho to boutique!
